BENGALURU: Jai Tulunad Bengaluru (R.), in association with Golden Friends Hosaroad, organised a Tulu script workshop titled “Bale Tulu Lipi Kalpuga” at Chennakeshava Public School, Hosaroad, with the objective of encouraging the learning and use of the Tulu script among the community.

The workshop focused on creating awareness about the importance of preserving and promoting the Tulu language and its rich cultural heritage. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of the Tulu script through an interactive and supportive learning environment.

Organisers said initiatives of this nature are aimed at strengthening interest in the Tulu language and script, particularly among younger generations, and encouraging the community to carry forward its linguistic and cultural traditions.

The programme also highlighted the importance of learning the Tulu script as part of efforts to preserve the language and ensure its continued connection with future generations.

The organisers called upon members of the Tulu-speaking community and language enthusiasts to come forward and participate in initiatives promoting Tulu language and script.

“Learning the Tulu script and preserving the language and culture is a collective responsibility. Such workshops can help create greater awareness and interest among the younger generation,” the organisers said.
