Tulu Script Campaign ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ Receives Overwhelming Response in State Capital
The cultural landscape of Bengaluru witnessed a vibrant display of coastal heritage as the "Bisu paboda samaarambha 2026" splendor was celebrated with grandeur on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Organized by the Tuluverenkulu Bengaluru t (R.), the event served as a prestigious stage for the "Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka" (Come, Let's Write Names in Tulu Script) initiative.
The script-writing campaign was spearheaded by the Jai Tulunad (R.) Bengaluru Unit in active collaboration with the Tuluverenkulu Bengaluru (R.). The event saw a massive influx of Bengaluru-based Tuluvas who participated enthusiastically, cutting across lines of caste and language to support the preservation of their linguistic roots.
The workshop was conducted under the expert tutelage of Anudeep Shetty, In-charge of the Tulu Script Committee(Bengaluru TSC), and Shubhakar Naik, a Executive Committee member of the forum. The logistical success of the program was attributed to the efforts ofa Executive Committee Member Ashwini Gatti, Central TSC incharge Dhananjaya Acharya, Secretary Akshay Acharya, Vice President Sharath Kodavoor, Vice Secretary Pradeep Shetty.
The executive committee played a pivotal role in the event's execution, with active participation from Sudarshan Acharya, and Tulu Literature Committee (Sahityodaisira) incharge Jayaprasad Tulunad,.
The campaign reached its successful conclusion in the presence of distinguished members including Chief Advisor Nidhish Shetty, Jai tulunad Founder Member Yathish Kumar Mundodi, and Executive Committee members Priya Yathish, Chaitresh G, Sudarshan Acharya, Shashank Acharya all of whom stood witness to the historic gathering of Tulu script enthusiasts in the city. And baby Bhuvi Nidheesh Shetty and Ashwini Kolar who is core supporter of JTB family was also present during this Ocassion.
The success of the event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to popularize the Tulu script among the younger generation and the diaspora living outside the coastal districts.
