Jai Tulunad (Reg.) General Body Meeting: Ashwath Tuluve Elected as New President

The annual general body meeting of 'Jai Tulunad (Reg.)', a prestigious organization dedicated to the promotion of Tulu language, culture, and the development of the region, was successfully held on January 18, 2026, at the Rotary Club Hall, Kinnigoli. 

 

During the meeting, the election for the new office bearers of the Central Committee for the term 2026-27 was conducted.

Ashwath Tuluve was unanimously elected as the new President of the organization.

 

New Office Bearers of the Central Committee:

President: Ashwath Tuluve

Vice Presidents: Sushila Kodavoor, Vishal Kodial, and Manish Kumar

General Secretary: Sukesh Kemmayi

Joint Secretaries: Chithrakshi Mugera Teggu and Poornima Shettigar

Treasurer: Nishil Shetty Beladi

Joint Treasurer: Nagaraj Shettigar

Organizing Secretary: Niranjan Karkera

Joint Organizing Secretaries: Ashwita and Sangeeta

Executive Committee Members: Chandra Tuluve and Chaitra N

 

 

Subsidiary Body Responsibilities:

To accelerate the literary and cultural activities of the organization, heads for the subsidiary wings were appointed as follows:

'Baravuda Bitthil' (Literary Wing) President: Savitha Karkera Kavoor

'Lelelelega' (Cultural Wing) President: Poornima Bantwal

 

Addressing the gathering, the newly elected President Ashwath Tuluve called upon the members to work unitedly in the coming year to further strengthen the organization and spread the rich heritage of Tulunadu.
