Bengaluru, September 12, 2026: Jai Tulunad (R.) submitted a memorandum to Karnataka Chief Minister Shri D. K. Shivakumar, urging the State Government to declare Tulu as the State’s second additional language at the Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held in Mangaluru on September 18.

The memorandum was submitted on Saturday, September 12, at ‘Krishna,’ the Chief Minister’s official residence-cum-office in Bengaluru, in the presence of Dakshina Kannada district MLAs, MPs and the district in-charge minister.

Shri Nidheesh Shetty Shiroor, Honorary Advisor of Jai Tulunad Bengaluru (R.), and Shri Pradeep Shetty, Joint Secretary, were present on the occasion.
